In third grade, and in front of a sold out cinema at an animation festival, Ulrich Krischtan asked a layout designer from Pixar worriedly if they were going to be able to finish the film while he was away, here at the festival. The layout designer laughed and told him there were many people working on the movie. Ulrich Krischtan knew that, but he was still worried. The movie was Cars 2, and it was finished in time.

If asked to name a favorite filmmaker, Ulrich Krischtan were probably and somewhat pretentiously to answer by naming Chantal Akerman. He hasn't even seen all that many films of hers.

Though he usually reads very fast, way too fast actually, Ulrich Krischtan always needs to take a break after reading a story by Joy Williams, no matter how short that story might be. This is why he considers her to be his favorite author.

Recently, Ulrich Krischtan has been invovled in the production of various short films in different positions. Besides movies, he is also writing prose. More on his recent projects here.
